Brian King started this company out of a single truck in 1991, working Seymour and the south Knox neighborhoods one referral at a time. The principle was simple: explain what's wrong, recommend the honest fix, and stand behind it forever.
Thirty-five years later, the principle hasn't changed — but the team has grown. Brian's son Ryan came onto the company full-time in 2013, and Ryan's wife Brittany joined in 2021. We're licensed and insured, certified at the highest tier our manufacturers offer, and based in the same Seymour community we started in.
When you hire us, you get the King family on your roof — not a sales arm, not a subcontracted day labor crew, and not someone who'll be hard to find if a problem comes up two years from now.

Brian King founds the company in Seymour, TN — one truck, one crew, and a reputation for honest work.
- 2002
Earns Owens Corning Preferred Contractor status — a partnership that's defined our shingle work ever since.
- 2013
Brian's son Ryan joins the company full-time, and the business is issued its Tennessee Contractor License (#66940, BC-B) — second generation on the roof and a formal license on the wall.
- 2014
Versico certification expands the company into commercial single-ply roofing across the region.
- 2021
Brittany King — Ryan's wife — joins Brian King Roofing, rounding out the family team.
- 2023
Promoted to Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor — the top tier, awarded to roughly the top 1% of contractors nationally.
- 2026
Thousands of roofs later, still family-owned, still based in Seymour.
