Roofing Contractor in LaFollette, TN
LaFollette anchors Campbell County and the northern shore of Norris Lake: in-town residential streets along Central Avenue and the lake homes and weekend properties scattered along the coves north of the dam. Steep waterside roofs and rural homes where access is half the job.
Campbell County's seat and the north shore of Norris Lake.
LaFollette is two kinds of roofing. In town, along Central Avenue and the residential streets, it's full architectural shingle replacements and repairs on homes of every age. North of the dam, along the coves of Norris Lake, it's lake homes and weekend properties with steep waterside rooflines that need extra rigging, plus rural mountain homes set back on long driveways where getting there is half the job.
Our crews work both. For the lake and mountain properties, that means planning access and materials on the first visit, rigging for the pitch, decks protected during tear-off, and photo updates for owners who are only here on weekends. In town, it's Owens Corning Duration installed to Platinum Preferred standards with the same attention to flashing and ventilation we bring everywhere.
Standing seam metal is a common choice on the lake homes for its wind resistance and low maintenance; shingles are the lower up-front cost. We'll quote both.

What LaFollette roofs actually deal with.
Norris Lake sends wind across open water at the lake-facing slope of every cove home, and the Cumberlands behind LaFollette add weather of their own. Wooded lots bring shade, debris, and moss. In town, the usual East Tennessee heat and freeze-thaw winters apply. Fastening on the water side and gutter guards under the trees cover most of it.
Lakefront roofs take weather from the water side. Wind crosses open water with nothing to slow it and hits the exposed slope hard, so fastening pattern and flashing matter more here than on a sheltered in-town lot. Those slopes also face the sun and the spray, which ages shingles unevenly from one side of the house to the other.
LaFollette summers are long and humid, and that's the quiet killer of shingle roofs in East Tennessee. An attic without real airflow cooks the shingles from underneath and takes years off their life, so we check soffit and ridge ventilation on every estimate. Winter brings freeze-and-thaw cycles rather than deep snow: water gets under a lifted shingle edge, freezes, lifts it further, and the next thaw finds the decking. Ice and water shield in the valleys, where that water concentrates, is cheap insurance against exactly that.
Tree cover does the rest. Leaves and needles pack valleys and gutters, hold moisture against the shingles, and feed algae and moss on shaded slopes. Gutter guards and a fall cleanout do more for a roof's lifespan here than most people expect, and a look at the roof every year or two catches the small problems while they're still small.

We work for you, not for a sales quota.
Brian King Roofing is a retail roofer. A homeowner in LaFollette calls us, we look at the roof, and we tell them the truth about it. Often the honest answer is a repair, and when it is, that's what we recommend.
If a storm did damage your roof, we'll meet your adjuster for the inspection, give you photo documentation, and answer your questions about the process. You stay in control of your claim. We don't chase storms, we don't door-knock, and we don't pressure anyone.
- Honest inspections with photo documentation
- Repair recommended when repair is the right answer
- Written scope of work you can compare to any other quote

Straight answers.
Don't see your question? Call 865-573-6859 and ask.
We only use our lake place on weekends. How does a roof job work?
- We schedule around your calendar, send photo updates from tear-off through the finished roof, protect decks and docks during the work, and leave the site clean. You don't have to be there.
Do you cover the rural parts of Campbell County?
- Yes. Homes on long driveways and wooded lots are regular work for us. We plan access and crew size on the first visit so the job finishes in one trip.
How fast can you get to a roof leak in LaFollette?
- We respond to every request within one business day, and for an active leak we can usually be on site within 24 hours of your call. Our shop is in Seymour and our crews work across East Tennessee every day. Call 865-573-6859 and tell us water is coming in so we can prioritize it.
Shingles or metal for a LaFollette home?
- Both work well here and we install both every week. Architectural shingles are the lower up-front cost and look right on most homes. Standing seam metal costs more, lasts longer, and holds up better under heavy tree cover and wind. We'll give you a straight recommendation for your house and a quote for either one.
Do you offer financing?
- Yes. We partner with GreenSky for roofing financing with fixed monthly payments, and zero-interest promotional plans are available for qualified buyers. We'll walk you through the options when we go over your estimate.
What warranties come with a new roof?
- Three layers. The manufacturer's materials warranty, our own workmanship warranty (a two-year minimum on every install and lifetime on standing seam metal), and, on qualifying Owens Corning shingle systems, the Platinum Protection warranty that only Platinum Preferred contractors can register.
