What Loudon roofs actually deal with.
Tellico Lake sends wind across the water at the exposed slope, and the sun on that side ages shingles faster. Downtown's older homes have the shade, tree debris, and old flashing of any established neighborhood. Everywhere in Loudon, attic ventilation and ice and water shield in the valleys are the difference between a 15-year roof and a 30-year one.
Lakefront roofs take weather from the water side. Wind crosses open water with nothing to slow it and hits the exposed slope hard, so fastening pattern and flashing matter more here than on a sheltered in-town lot. - Yes. Waterside installs get the rigging and fall protection the pitch requires, decks and docks are protected during tear-off, and we plan the material drop around the driveway.
